Patreon Assistant is a browser extension that helps you follow your favorite Patreon creators' updates. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data We Collect

        We collect anonymous usage data to improve the extension:
        Anonymous user identifier (randomly generated)
Feature usage (which buttons are clicked)
Error reports (for debugging)
Session duration

    

Data We Do NOT Collect

Your name, email, or any personal information
Your Patreon account details or credentials
Names of creators you follow
Post content or titles
Browsing history
Payment information

Data Storage

Your list of followed creators is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol) to collect anonymous usage statistics. This helps us understand how the extension is used and identify issues. IP addresses are automatically anonymized by Google Analytics.

Patreon API: Used to fetch public creator information and posts
Google Analytics: Used for anonymous usage statistics

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). Local data is retained until you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

Your Rights

You can opt out of analytics by uninstalling the extension. Your locally stored data will be automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
